SPECIAL O.D. TREATMENTS EXPAND HOSE OFFERING
Southampton, PA — Immediately available are custom options for the O.D. (outside diameter) of many of our standard plastic and rubber hose products. These special O.D. treatments include colored tracer lines, textured surfaces, custom color combinations, and printing. Industries that can benefit from the customization include OEM, paint, appliance, chemical, general industrial, medical, robotics, toys, laboratory, recreational equipment, automotive, and more.

Applications for tracer lines and color combinations include instrumentation lines, multi-tube manifolds, automated production plants—most any application where multiple lines must be easily and quickly identified. Textured O.D. surfaces such as ribbing offer better hand gripping, added resistance to wear and abrasion, and a unique look, while printed hose can instantly identify the material traveling through the hose, intended direction of flow, your company name, or a product brand name.

O.D. treatments work well with reinforced hose, where the reinforcing material is fused between two layers of plastic or rubber. Each layer is extruded separately, allowing variations in I.D. (inside diameter) and O.D. tube color (opaque, translucent, transparent, clear) for different purposes. For instance, choosing an opaque I.D. with a clear O.D. layer makes tracer lines easily visible. Outer surface texturing and printing can be applied to unreinforced tubing, as well as reinforced hose.
